Das letzte Viertel dieser Werkausgabe (etwa 40 von insgesamt 160 Seiten) entfällt auf einen "Materialien"-Anhang, der sich aus diversen Kurztexten verschiedenster Autoren zusammensetzt. Die "Materialien" nehmen Leitthemen des Romans aus unterschiedlicher Sicht auf: - "Das Meer - zwischen Freiheit und Unterdrückung", Facetten der Gewalt sowie Vater-Sohn-Beziehungen.
